Iranian celebrities join plastic-free campaign

Iranian celebrities boosted Samsung’s environmental campaign by sharing the “It’s hard, but not impossible!” video on social media.

The campaign was launched in July in tandem with the global 2019 Plastic-Free July movement. “It’s hard, but not impossible!” went viral days after launch. Samsung initiated the idea which was developed and produced by the creative unit at Netbina.

The resulting video encouraged individuals to reduce plastic consumption in their daily lives. It has been embraced by many Iranian public figures and celebrities such as Rambod Javan, Masoumeh Ebtekar and Shahindokht Molaverdi.

The “It’s hard, but not impossible!” campaign discouraged the use of disposable consumer plastic items such as plastic shopping bags and water bottles.

The video had 19 million impressions within 3 weeks of launch.
