Hi there don’t be shy!
Visitors to the website
We use a third party service from Google, called Google Analytics. This provides us with visitor behaviour patterns. This allows us to find out the number of visitors to the different parts of our website. This data does not identify anyone in particular.
What are they?
A cookie apart from being a delicious biscuit, is also a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer or mobile device by the user’s web browser.. Unfortunately you cannot eat this type of cookie. But they do let you navigate between pages efficiently, remember your preferences, and in most cases improve your user experience.
How long does it stay on the user’s device?
Persistent cookies remain on the user’s device for the period of time specified in the cookie. Not a great answer we know, but that’s how they work.
Session cookies allow websites to coordinate the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are temporary. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.
What cookies do we use?
Strictly necessary cookies. These enable the services you may wish to use and are necessary to allow you to move around the website and use its features.
Performance cookies. These store information about the browsing behaviour of our visitors, i.e. what pages they visit, what content interests them the most, and how often they visit us. They do not identify the visitor. They are used to help improve the website.
Functionality cookies. These help us remember your choices so we can offer you a better experience. For instance, we can remember your username, the region you are visiting from or your preferred language. They cannot track your use of other websites.
Third party cookies
Third party cookies on your browser may be used to track or improve the performance of their application or provide customization. For instance if you were to share a piece of content on our website on a social media platform, those websites may place a cookie on your browser. We do not control or have access to their cookies and they do not have access to ours.
Access to your private information
You are entitled to access, amend or delete any personal data we hold on you. Email your request to our data protection officer Navid Bijani using the email [email protected]. If you have a complaint regarding your privacy on our website, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
